Treatments and/or accomodations
Primordial Dwarfs have Growth Hormone Deficiency meaning their growth and puberty is delayed quite a bit and puberty may never happen for primordial dwarfs. The average height for an adult living with primordial dwarfism is about four feet. Since their bodies are so small, it causes all inner organs to be smaller in size compared to a person without primordial dwarfism. Because of this organs have a greater chance of failing which can be fatal. This impacts every day life for a primordial dwarf because they constantly need to get checked up upon by a doctor.
Primordial dwarfs being four feet and under, have trouble doing everyday things that would be simple for people without this genetic disease. These simple daily routines include getting food off of the top shelf, driving and always using a step stool for brushing your teeth or getting onto a chair.
Emotional stress and depression can also be developed because primordial dwarfs can get frustrated with not being able to do simple everyday things when they see another person of their family do it so easily. Primordial dwarfs are constantly thinking how life would be if they did not have this disorder which effects their everyday life tremendously because they are thinking how they could constantly be better instead of thinking about how they can help their genetic disease. There are no effective growth treatments for primordial dwarfs that will speed up the growth rate because growth hormones seem to have little to no effect on the growth. Many doctors focus in treating problems that might occur such as vision problems, scoliosis, and joint dislocations (Kugler, 2010).
