Promoting awareness
Walking With Giants is an organizing that has been around for seven years (since 2008). It is not government funded, but they accept donations from the public to help reach some of their goals which include holding a yearly international event to bring families together to celebrate life and allow them to meet experts from around the world.
Another goal is to create opportunities to allow individuals affected by primordial dwarfism to reach their full potential in life (WWG, 2015). Some events that have occurred is a charity event held in Liverpool called “The Santa Dash”. This even took place on Sunday December 7th, 2014 with thousands of people. There is an entry fee and an average pledge of $50 for dinner and entertainment. Last years fundraiser raised $4, 800 with the 50-dollar pledges. All proceeds go directly to the Walking With Giants foundation. Another fund raiser is the WWGF Challenge Trophy Tournament. You can enter a team for this soccer tournament and the cost is $150 per person. This tournament includes a banquet dinner and 4 games of soccer.
Other activities are listed on the picture below. All proceeds go to The WWTF foundation.
